TRI Cap Portfolio - Antoxis
First Investment July 2007
Aberdeen-based Antoxis is a spin-out from Rowett Research Institute and Glasgow University which is developing treatments for various neurological conditions, including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and stroke. Initially support of the Genomia Fund, Antoxis has developed a number of compounds which are anticipated to make a substantial impact on the market.
TRI Cap joined the company’s first investment round, led by Fife based Kapital Venture Equity and matched with support from Scottish Enterprise’s Scottish Co-Investment Fund and a SMART award.
December 2008
Tri Cap takes part in a £300K deal led by Kapital Assets. The funds will allow Antoxis to progress its therapeutic development pipeline in Parkinson’s disease and stroke. The funding will also enable the company to further validate its technology platform for use in the preservation of stem cells in conjunction with the University of Aberdeen.
