TRI Cap took part in a £400,000 funding round for Dundee-based IRT Surveys - the leading infra red building surveyors in Europe.
The investment allows the business to exploit its IRT Energy Software, which it predicts will make a major impact on the multi-million pound energy assessment market. First established in 2002, IRT has developed proprietary software to assess carbon emissions and resultant financial loss, reducing survey costs and increasing accessibility across the property sector. The sector is under legislative pressure to increase energy efficiency and reduce its carbon footprint and IRT Energy is the only technology on the market capable of meeting this demand.

IRT Surveys secures a second round funding package of £140k from TRI Cap and the SCF.
First round funding led to a restructuring of the company with new products and services. The company has also launched its service in Japan, with the US and Canada likely to follow. This tranche of funding allows IRT to hire a full-time marketing person and drive forward its development plans.
