Investment Manager appointed by TRI Cap
TRI Cap has appointed its first investment manager, Kathy Greenwood. Kathy’s appointment represents a significant change in approach for TRI Cap, says chairman Robert Dick:
“While being professionally run by our Board in our first three years, TRI Cap has not previously had a dedicated member of management whose sole focus is the investment activity of the syndicate. Kathy’s appointment is making a tangible difference to the smooth operation of the investment process which will be of benefit both to the companies we invest in and to TRI Cap members.”
Kathy Greenwood brings with her a wealth of experience in business investment, particularly as the former director of W L Ventures in West Lothian, where she presided over an organisation committed to early stage investment in local entrepreneurs. Ms Greenwood is a law graduate from the University of Edinburgh and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. She has also completed an MBA at Strathclyde University. She lives in the Scottish Borders and, in addition to involvement in a number of community organisations, is a member of the Scottish Enterprise Regional Advisory Board for South of Scotland.
