TRI Cap Goes for a Second Round with IRT Surveys

 

A second round funding package of £140k has been secured by IRT Surveys from TRI Cap and the Scottish Co-Investment Fund.  This follows an initial investment with Sigma Capital Group in 2009.

Established in 2002, IRT Surveys is an ITC certified and UKTA registered thermal imaging company, specialising in non destructive testing of buildings via infrared surveys and electronic leak detection. Other core services include energy performance certificates, energy audits and air leakage detection.

Managing director Stewart Little commented: “Last year's investment from TRI Cap, Sigma and Scottish Enterprise led to a restructuring of the company. Recently, we signed a deal to launch our service under licence in Japan, and are on the verge of signing a deal to enter the US and Canada on a similar footing. We have just completed a project of 10,000 houses with the Scottish Government, building a carbon portal where the government can track the carbon footprint of their housing.

“This latest tranche of funding has allowed us to hire a full-time marketing person, refuelling the business, helping us across the finish line with our development plans.”
