TRI Cap Member Profile - Victoria Winters
TRI Cap member Victoria Winters is a director of Borders-based Leader Partners, which she co-founded in 2008 “to provide a platform for the delivery of consulting and training services to the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and contract research sectors.”
Originally from Bridgnorth in Shropshire, Victoria studied Animal Sciences at Nottingham University School of Agriculture. She has lived in Scotland more than 20 years, and in the Borders for seven. Victoria’s early career included work with Inveresk Research International in genetic toxicology and the in vivo pharmacology department of Syntex Research Scotland specialising in occlusive models of stroke and safety pharmacology.
Prior to founding Leader Partners, Victoria served as Vice President, Business Development for AAIPharma Inc, where she was responsible for the development and growth of preclinical and clinical new business across Europe and South Africa. She also held senior positions with Quintiles UK Ltd, in the clinical development division and Quintiles Scotland Ltd in the preclinical and early development division.
Victoria brings her expertise to bear within TRI Cap, providing fellow members with valuable insight in relation to life sciences investment opportunities. She comments:
